FAQ
Questions? Answered.
About Kids English (2)
My child is shy — will they cope?+
Absolutely. Our young learner teachers are trained to build confidence gently through games and pair work. Most shy students are presenting in English within a term.
Can we try a class first?+
Yes — group trial classes are completely free every Saturday (with a parents' consultation). Only one-to-one private lessons have a paid trial session.
Common questions for this programme (5)
How do you group children by age and level?+
Three age bands (4–6, 7–9, 10–12) plus a level check on arrival, so your child is never the youngest or weakest in class.
Can parents observe or get updates?+
The Parents Dashboard shows attendance, vocabulary mastered, photos and teacher comments every week. Open days run every term.
Are teachers trained for young learners?+
Yes — our young-learner team holds specialist YL certifications and follows child-safety protocols in a max-8 class setting.
What if my child has no English at all?+
Perfect fit. The phonics-first track assumes zero English and moves to independent reading within a term.
Is there homework for kids?+
Light, fun practice only — 15-minute reading logs and optional activity sheets. Childhood outside class matters too.
General questions about ACE (12)
Where exactly are the campuses?+
Mont Kiara HQ: D-05-08 & D-05-09 & D-06-03, Plaza Mont Kiara, Jalan Kiara, 50480 Kuala Lumpur. USJ Taipan: 7C, Jalan USJ 10/1j, Taipan Business Centre, 47610 Subang Jaya, Selangor. Both open Mon–Fri 8:30 AM–6 PM and Sat 8:30 AM–3 PM.
Is ACE Language Centre accredited?+
ACE is registered with the Ministry of Education Malaysia, authorised by the Ministry of Interior (KDN) via EMGS for student passes, an IELTS exam centre in collaboration with the British Council, an official Pearson PTE exam centre, an Official GED Exam Preparation Centre and an HRD Corp registered provider.
Do you help with a Malaysian student visa?+
Visa sponsorship is available only with the Intensive English Programme (AIEP), for applicants aged 18–35, covering the enrolled student only. Our team handles the full EMGS process (98% approval, ~31 days average) with a refundable bond that varies by nationality.
Can I get a free trial class?+
Yes — every group course offers a completely free trial class at either campus. Only one-to-one private lessons have a paid trial (at the hourly rate).
How big are classes?+
Maximum 12 in every adult class and maximum 8 in Kids English — small enough that teachers correct you in every session.
What certificate will I receive?+
A completion certificate with your CEFR level and transcript is issued after the final assessment — printable from your student portal, with employer/embassy verification available.
Do you offer accommodation?+
Yes — inspected hostels (from RM 650/month), private apartments and homestays within 20 minutes of both campuses, arranged before you fly. Airport pickup is RM 500.
How do payments work?+
Bank transfer (Public Bank Berhad — World Best Services Malaysia Sdn Bhd, 3816667835), credit/debit card via secure Stripe link sent with your invoice, or DuitNow QR at reception. Monthly instalment plans available on longer enrolments.
Can I study online and continue in Malaysia later?+
Yes — start ACE Online from home (from RM 1,200/month) and transfer to campus with your level fully credited; we then process your AIEP student visa if needed.
What happens if my level is wrong after starting?+
Within the first two weeks, teachers re-assess and re-place you at the correct level at no charge — being in the right class matters more than being in the planned one.
Do you provide learning materials?+
All core materials are included: coursebooks, digital resources, self-access lab, homework portal and the AI tool suite (level test, writing checker, speaking practice).
How do I contact the school quickly?+
WhatsApp Mont Kiara +60 11-6247 7018 or USJ +60 16-247 7738, email info@acelanguagecentre.edu.my, or the live chat on this page — replies within 24 hours, usually much faster.
