Step 1: Offer letter

Your visa journey begins with enrolment at a registered institution. Once registered, the institution submits your application to EMGS (Education Malaysia Global Services).

Documents checklist

Passport valid 18+ months, passport photos with white background, academic transcripts, offer letter, health declaration, and — depending on nationality — additional embassy requirements.

Timeline

EMGS approval typically takes 4–6 weeks. You then receive an eVAL (Visa Approval Letter), apply for a single-entry visa, and fly to Malaysia for medical screening and endorsement.

Common delays
